This project started as a self-appointed assignment — take a photo every day. Along the way, I started incorporating old photos for the days when it was 11:30 p.m., and I still hadn't even picked up my camera. Some days, I would miss entirely for various reasons like forgetfulness, sleep, laziness, you get the idea. Those undocumented days will be represented by a card labeled “Missed.” The missed days are still crucial to the project because they show the artist's authenticity: nothing is perfect, and anyone saying otherwise is a liar. Each week had a prompt that I followed, which would vary from specific things such as “Water” to vague concepts such as “I’m Running Out of Ideas.” The project is more of a collection of studies based on each prompt and less of a “day in the life,” though that theme will appear throughout the project. Each prompt could merit a year's worth of photos or more, but I prefer walking before running.
